中村征夫写真展「海への旅」を開催します（東川町文化ギャラリー）

東川町文化ギャラリーにて、第12回写真の町東川賞特別作家賞受賞者であり、

写真の町東川賞審査委員の中村征夫さんによる写真展を開催します。

中村征夫写真展「海への旅」

地球の7割を占める「海」。しかし私たち人間が、海やそこに棲む生命について解明できたのは

全体のわずか5％ほどで、現在でも大部分が未知の領域になっています。普段目にする機会の

少ない海の中には、想像を絶する幻想的な光景や、魚たちの愛らしい姿、厳しい環境で

生きるものたちの生命の輝きが満ちあふれています。

写真家中村征夫は40年以上に渡り、この未知なる海に魅せられ、撮影を続けてきました。

“海の報道写真家”として長年活躍し続ける中村征夫の作品群は、見るものに地球上の

もうひとつの世界の営みをリアルに伝えます。

本展では、中村征夫が捉えた奇跡とも呼べる海の世界を、撮り下ろしと代表作を中心とする

約200点の作品と映像作品でご紹介いたします。

Annoucement: Exhibition of Ikuo NAKAMURA, “Journey to the Ocean”

The exhibition will showcase the work of Ikuo MAKAMURA, a winner of the Special Photographer Award of the 12th Higashikawa Awards and a judge of the Higashikawa Awards.

Exhibition - Ikuo NAKAMURA, "Journey to the Ocean"

The "Ocean" covers 70% of the earth. We human beings have discovered only 5% of this planet and the rest of them are still unknown. In this exhibition, you will see the beautiful view that is beyond your imagination, adorable fish and other animals that live in severe environment.

Ikuo NAKAMURA, the photographer, has been fascinated by the undiscovered existences in the ocean and captured them on photos. Known as a photojournalist of the ocean, he shows the nature of the ocean as another world on earth

The series of this exhibition offer an opportunity to explore the wonderful world of the ocean with 200 of his signature works and newly printed ones.
