Coast to Coast
This group exhibition addresses various representations and symbols of the maritime coastline over the past century. Where the water meets the sea, economic ports have been established and high end real estate built. A pristine but fragile landscape can be ruptured through changes in weather, climate and environment. This natural boundary is viewed as a refuge to be reached and for others, a national border to be defended. Of course, in warm temperatures the shore becomes a simple destination for leisure.
