Gods, magicians and wise men. The artists’ private collections
In order to delve deeper into the personalities of ten artists in the "la Caixa" Foundation’s Contemporary Art Collection, CaixaForum has programmed an original exhibition that displays their works alongside objects from their personal collections, such as objects from non-European traditions in the case of Miró and Tàpies, or Japanese religious artefacts in Sugimoto’s. In this way, we can get a better idea of the relationship with their imagination, their interests and obsessions, their creative processes and, in short, their own work. The artists taking part in this experience are Rosa Amorós, Miquel Barceló, Georg Baselitz, Luis Feito, Joan Hernández Pijuan, Manolo Millares, Joan Miró, Susana Solano, Hiroshi Sugimoto and Antoni Tàpies.
